Winter Hibernation...

Michigan winters, cold, dark and long....

I have taught myself how to crochet hats, and mittens...this winter, and getting back into something I did years ago...quilting. I have returned back into *morning pages*, something I used to do faithfully also. Julie Camerons new book, the writing diet inspired me once again. Maybe in my writing, I can find my way back. I am hoping Thing A Day will be back again this Feb. I am trying to weed out, and condense, and organize. It seems to be a long process, as I hate to let anything go...but I have...

I need to stay focused. I have plastic tubs I put all my *interests* in, everything is there...when I need to do something different...but out of my line of vision, when I am working on something current. I tend to want to lose focus, I have so many interests. I think one of my resolutions from last year was to divide up my interests according to the seasons, crochet, quilting in the winter and painting in the summer, for example. I can't tell myself NOT to do something if I want to do it....so that didn't work....I also tend to spend more time on organizing and structuring my supplies and time, I run out of time to do what it is I want to do...I exhaust myself....
